Just to confirm, it appears the UK now has it's very own a monsoon season which takes place in July. If a medal was awarded for carrying on in all weathers, surely it would go to the tenacious competitors of St Bons!
If you cheered on our KS2 pupils during the downpours I'm sure you will agree they made a sterling effort and demonstrated that nothing, not even torrential rain, will stop them from finishing that obstacle course.
The school asked the PTFA to donate refreshments for the children which of course we were happy to oblige - a platter of goodness was served to our athletes in both KS1 and KS2!
We couldn't leave out the dedicated spectators though - coffee and freshly basked croissants were the order the day!
This year we trailed a self-serve station along with an honesty box to free up volunteers. This seemed to work well and we are so grateful for the donations provided. Funds will be totted up and we'll let you know what was raised.
And of course a massive thank you to all the helpers/ fruit choppers/squash pourers, you know who you are and we couldn't do it without you!
