Reception & KS1 Disco

This event is ONLY for Reception and KS1 (years 1 & 2) pupils.

For KS2 (years 3, 4, 5 and 6), there's a later slot and you can book tickets here.

We're trying something a bit different this time round to make more spaces available for the kids and simplify arranging volunteer rotas. Here's how it's going to work...

There are 70 volunteer tickets available for adults with the remainder available for the pupils. This will make sure we have just the right number of adults present to run the event safely and can maximise the spaces available for pupils.

It's not Oasis at Wembley! It doesn't matter when you buy your child tickets during the sale window as we expect to have space for all the children who would like to go. In the unlikely event we are oversubscribed when ticket sales close, we will run a ballot to allocate the child tickets randomly.

Given the capacity constraints of the hall and the limited adult volunteer tickets, not every parent will be able to come along.  If you are not able to come with your child, please do consider if they are ready to attend without you present. Supervision is provided by PTFA committee members, and other parents, with only a few teachers present. 

As adult volunteer tickets are now sold out, if your child has additional needs and needs to be accompanied by a parent/carer please let us know. We will be happy to make space for you.

Things to know

Adult Volunteers

• You will either be randomly allocated to a support role (e.g. helping out at the bar, signing people in at the door) or will act as a marshall to deal with any crowd trouble and marvel at the shapes being thrown down on the dance floor. We'll let you know your responsibilities beforehand.

• You will need to stay for the duration of the disco.

• If you can't make it, it is your responsibility to find someone to take your place. This is really important. We are banking on you attending to run the event safely and staff the stalls.

Tickets

• Ticket sales are online only to avoid queues at the door. You will receive your tickets by email.

• If we are oversubscribed, we will run a ballot to ensure that the tickets are allocated fairly.

Who can attend

• This event is ONLY for Reception and KS1 (year 1 and year 2) pupils.

• Children from different Key Stages cannot mix. In other words, if you have one child in KS1 and one in KS2, only the KS1 child can attend this one.

• The disco is for children attending the school. No siblings are allowed to attend with the exception of babes-in-arms.
